Indoor portraits are always more personal and relaxing, especially newborn photos taken at home. However, tight spaces at home for newborn portraits might make new parents concerned. Will their home have enough light? Will there be enough space or is it too tight? While I know it’s hard to visualize how your photos will turn out, rest be assured that your photographer will find the best light and space in your own home and create beautiful portraits for life.
One Tiny Space and Big Memories
This newborn session might look like it was photographed in several rooms. However, in reality, I photographed the entire photo session in one small nursery room! I chose this room because it had the best light from the whole house. I then moved items around in order to accommodate the variety of images we took. If you look closely, then in one of the photos you could see a sneak peak of how we recreated the “master bedroom” on the floor. So happy how this tight space was used creatively for those newborn portraits.

I am glad how everything worked out for this 3 week old newborn and family session and how the jumpy 9 month poodle participated in the family photos. It was beautiful to see and capture the connection between the family poodle and the new baby girl, Isabella.
