Family Photographer in New York City
Sometimes I wonder what pulled me to be a family photographer in New York City. As a mother myself, the connection parents share with their children is inspiring and dear to me. Cherishing my own motherhood connection, I want to capture the same for others.
Time passes by and children are grown up before we can blink, but photographs are a memory capsule that preserve the present moments. This session was for a family with a six-year-old big brother and his seven-month-old sibling, each already showing their own personality even at such different ages. The rest of the family kept things neutral, letting mom’s green become the single pop of color in the frame, echoed in the baby’s matching green striped onesie.
A New York City Family Photography Session at Home
The baby had just learned to sit on his own, still a little wobbly and endlessly curious about everything within reach, while his big brother spent most of the afternoon showing off his wooden train set on the living room floor, laying out track loops with the kind of focus only a six-year-old brings to a favorite toy. By the time we got to a stuffed elephant, he’d happily traded trains for tumbling upside down on the couch cushions, laughing every time.
I am so glad these portraits are proudly displayed in their home and will be enjoyed on a daily basis.
